This policy explains how Creativity Source (造物源, https://creativity-source.com) collects, uses, and stores information. Effective 2026-08-23. Questions: [email protected].

Who we are

Creativity Source helps you turn open-source ideas into software you can run locally, or hardware you can fab or buy parts for: a daily sweep of AI, robotics, and smart-hardware repositories on GitHub, with clone commands and setup steps. The site is operated by an independent developer. If paid plans are offered later, subscriptions will be processed by Creem as Merchant of Record.

What we collect

Visit logs: page path, referrer, coarse location (country / city), a hashed IP, and a truncated user-agent. These are used only to understand how the site is used and are not shown to other visitors.

Preferences: language and similar choices live in browser local storage.

Accounts: if you register, we store your email, a salted password hash, a role, and a login session cookie (osr_user). Guests can browse only a featured subset of projects.

If you later subscribe to a paid plan, we will store Creem customer and subscription status so we know which plan is active. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

The catalog is public GitHub repository metadata (name, description, license, stars, README excerpt, and similar). We do not collect private account data from those project authors.

How we use information

To provide browsing, filters, reproduction steps, and download links.

To debug outages, measure visits, and — once offered — process paid plans.

To answer support email (we aim to reply within 3 business days).

We do not sell visit logs, email lists, or third-party repository content.

Third parties

Creem processes payments, invoices, refunds, and tax after paid plans are enabled, and may store billing details under its own policies.

GitHub provides the public repository metadata we index.

Cloudflare hosts this website and related APIs.

Retention and your choices

To ask about or delete visit records related to you, email [email protected]. We will handle the request within a reasonable time.

Cookies / local storage: used to remember UI language and to keep you signed in (HttpOnly session). The visit endpoint does not set advertising cookies.
